Majorian stared at the hololithic display, its acid green light lending his patrician features a sickly hue. His gaze was unwavering, his brow furrowed as he teased the problem apart like a complex knot, seeking the right string to pull to unravel it and arrive at the solution. “Replay the last vox transmission.” he ordered and menials in scarlet dress uniforms hurried to obey. Garbled words and static erupted from the voxcasters one again. One word was clear enough; Ambush. “It seems plan A has failled. I should have followed your council Constans.” The other shield captain bowed his helmeted head at the mention of his name and responeded in a melodious voice.
“There was always a chance that the Eldar webway gate would be guarded by forces unseen and their ability to predict the future should never be discounted. the merits of a small, rapid insertion to plant the device and collapse the gate were obvious but in this case a full deployment of the shield company is the only recourse left to us.”
Majorian nodded his agreement as he hefted his guardian spear. “Now they have been made aware and they will be expecting us. What’s more we now have to recover the aetheric imploder… A better recepie for an ambush would be hard to find!” he laughed.
Constans cocked his head quizically. “You cannot ambush one who expects to be ambushed… We are the Emperors praetorians.”
“True.” replied Majorian as he fastened his plumed helmet. “Make ready the assembly. We march to war. If this archeotech succeeds the implications will be of enormous strategic import. We will be able to collapse web way portals across the galaxy and rob the Eldar of their vaunted mobility.”
Both shield captains strode from the strategium as the human crew lining the procesional bowed to the golden demi gods as they passed, their crimson cloaks streaming behind them in a display that made several humans weep for the sheer majesty of it all .

The ritual is begun and the team begin to set up these gorgeous ruins by JMD scenery. A hint of extra excitement on the air as the new FAQ is about to be used too! As a crisp chill falls over the ruined buildings of this snowy planet, hollow silhouettes begin to flicker…
Amongst the ruins, a weapon. Though crude in its construction, it is by no means outdated and will do very hefty damage if set off. Both sides in this battle will want to acquire it just so the other can not. Like a super-volcano ready to hurtle a planet into an ashen coffin, the weapon has lain dormant; untouched for years, forgotten. Now, the two parties who want to get their hands on it will have to fight for it. However, not enough is known and it could very well be volatile, the slightest change in pressure or positioning may just set it off. Neither of these two elite fighting forces can afford to lose their warriors in such a mistake, they will surely tread cautiously when carrying this destructive relic.
