Battle Report (Aeldari vs Imperial Knights)

Banks of white mist drifted hither and yon despite the lack of wind, obscuring the knights as they stomped and clanked their way forwards through their new and strange environs. Their auspices were awash with ghost returns and static rendering them effectively blind beyond visual range which the moving fog limited to just 50 metres. The vox hissed, clicked, roared and screamed with echoes from a thousand times a thousand alien voices most of which were long extinct and so utterly alien that they unnerved all who heard them. Internal chronometers spun backwards or stopped moving altogether adding to the pilots sense of dislocation from reality. What felt like mere moments before the knights and their smaller armiger cohorts had been charging across the desert sand towards the blue and gold Aedari hosts that shimmered behind their holofields. Their immense strides closed the distance and threw up huge clouds of dust as reaper chainswords revved in anticipation and battlecannons added their throaty roar to the cacophony of war. A flash of brilliant white light and a moment of violent vertigo had brought them to this bizarre place, Aeldari witchery no doubt. The Knights closed in on their baron communicating via lumen signals in absence of any other viable means. Their formation resembled a hollow square, every gun facing outward as they advanced through fields of dilapidated Aeldari structures that reared suddenly out of the pale fog. The feeling that they were trespassers in these parts could not be shaken. Those that dwelled in this bizarre realm would be coming to dispose of the intruders, but they would not find meek prey but a battle ready force of Imperial Knights ready and waiting for them.

Welcome all to another battle report coming straight from the SN Studio. Today, we will be seeing probably the most competitive game in SN history, with Steven playing a soup list of Aeldari and Harlequins, whilst Nick pilots the beautifully painted Imperial Knights of the SN Studio. We are also pleased to mention that the terrain featured today comes from Dreamspirit Wargaming Studio. Experts at making high quality pieces of scenery allow you to decorate your battlefield in epic thematic ways, adding depth to the battle! The reason that this game is probably the most competitive one seen on SN before, is due to the fact that this soup list which Steven is using may be the list that he possibly takes to the Malmo GT, taking place in Sweden. Steven is generally not a fan of soup lists but he does understand that for a competitive format such as a GT, generally, most players will take optimum lists, therefore it is important that he does so too in order to perform as well as he can.
